Dr Afra Sajjad has a PhD and has studied in Ireland, the UK, Spain, France and Pakistan. She has worked for a global education organisation for nearly 20 years and worked with universities in Ireland, Turkey, the UK, Brazil, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Poland, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Hong Kong and many other countries.
Since moving back to Pakistan, she has been working with young people in the field of education, as an educational consultant setting up skills projects and as the Vice Chancellor of a transnational university.
As a trained coach, she has coached 1000s of students on career choices in over 50 countries. She has worked with more than 200 universities on student recruitment and education partnerships. She has linkages with thousands of universities and employers globally.
Her passion is to help young people have a career of their choice, irrespective of financial, social and geographical constraints. She is an expert on international mobility and passionately believes that international education enhances exposure.
Bilal Ghafoor was born and raised in London – his degrees are from the University of London, which is where he has lived for most of his life. He has extensive experience as a mentor for professional organisations and his strengths are in applications and building skills. He holds several professional certifications, such as PRINCE2, IAPP CIPP/E, BCS DP and OneTrust Certifications. He has worked for the UK government, major charities and in the private sector as a consultant, often working across several different countries, particularly the USA, India, Europe and the Middle East.
We have lived most of our lives in Europe. Our expertise has been education. When we came to Pakistan to live, we were quite disgusted by the commercial outlook of education consultants, who simply try to make as much money as possible by sending you to whatever country appears to fit your pocket – they do not try to understand the student and how this decision on where to study and what to learn can have on their lives – they operate as factories.
We kept on giving free advice to young people, explaining how to learn and how to get the best life outcomes – now we want to fill the gap that, in Europe and the US, is filled by teachers and specialist career coaches.
